Datadog has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: AIOps Platforms, Q4 2026. We believe this placement reflects Datadog’s commitment to transforming observability into autonomous operations with a single integrated platform where AI agents detect, investigate, and remediate production issues, while engineers stay in control.

Datadog is leading the shift toward autonomous operations

Until recently, it was an engineer’s job to triage alerts, investigate issues, and analyze root causes to find answers. Now Bits AI handles the work of finding issues and suggests fixes for you. It learns your environment over time, from runbooks to memories built from engineer feedback, applying past corrections to similar issues, so investigations get more accurate with every incident.

Bits AI goes beyond identifying the root cause; it helps teams resolve issues with targeted remediation actions, production-ready code fixes and pull requests, and automated operational workflows. Configurable guardrails keep every action controlled, enabling Bits AI to confidently close the loop from detection and diagnosis through remediation and recovery.

Bits AI recently surpassed 10,000 paying customers, a significant milestone that demonstrates how integral it is becoming to our customers’ operations. We also launched Scout 1.0 in preview, our first model purpose-built for investigating production issues, powering Bits AI with frontier-level performance at a fraction of the cost of general-purpose models.

Forrester found that “Datadog demonstrated a clear and credible transition from observability toward agentic operations,” and Datadog received the highest score possible in the Innovation and Roadmap criteria. We believe that’s the clearest signal that we are making autonomous operations a reality.

Full-stack observability for end-to-end AI operations

Datadog unifies telemetry across infrastructure, applications, logs, digital experience, security, and AI workloads. Native AI observability brings application monitoring, agent observability, and digital experience into one continuous flow, so teams can investigate the same request from service activity to agent reasoning to customer impact.

The platform combines native OpenTelemetry ingestion, pipeline-level control over what gets collected and kept, and analytics on historical data without rehydration, resolved into a live map of services, dependencies, and changes. And the platform reach extends through Datadog’s partner ecosystem, with more than 1,000 built-in integrations. All of this ensures engineers and Bits AI work from the same production context.

Forrester observed that Datadog’s capabilities “differentiate by working together to enable agentic operations through a broad, consumable platform, rather than as standalone features.”

Datadog delivers governed autonomous responses

Autonomy only works with governance and control over how Bits AI operates. Customers define the guardrails it works within: which actions it can take, which environments and services those actions apply to, and who approves them before they run. Bits AI shows every step of its reasoning and backs every conclusion with evidence. Datadog received the highest score possible in Zero-Trust Agent (Least-Agency) and ModelOps and AI Governance (Sovereignty).

Customers trust Datadog as their AIOps platform

More than 33,000 organizations run on Datadog, and teams expand their use of the platform organically, not because of a top-down mandate. Forrester reported that customers “tend to expand use of the platform because they trust it, it’s easily accessible by engineers, and it delivers measurable value, not because they are forced to.”

Customers like Uber Freight found value in Datadog by eliminating coverage gaps due to fragmented tools. By moving from pilot to production in 40 days, they lowered mean time to detect and resolve issues (MTTD and MTTR) across cloud and on-premises systems, and sustained 99.99% uptime across a marketplace managing $18 billion in freight. Further, teams saved more than 20 minutes per incident with Bits AI investigation reports.

“Datadog gives us end-to-end observability and AI-powered investigation that help us detect issues faster and reduce incident understanding time,” said Thiyagarajan Anandan, Sr. Engineering Manager, Platform Engineering at Uber Freight.

Customer feedback is a core part of any analyst evaluation, and we believe this recognition reflects the value Datadog delivers to our customers today, along with where we’re investing next. We’re excited to keep pushing autonomous operations forward, fueled by the feedback and support of our incredible customers.
