Datadog, the SaaS-based monitoring and data analytics platform that provides a unified view of IT infrastructure, announced today record revenue results for Q3 of 2013. Growing demand for scalable cloud monitoring and strong execution by the Datadog team resulted in an increase of close to 50% in revenue run-rate between Q2 and Q3. This growth also expanded Datadog’s management footprint to over 30,000 cloud and on-premise servers.

As the number of applications deployed on cloud infrastructure has increased, so too has the demand for monitoring solutions that can adjust to rapid changes in scale. Datadog’s capabilities for monitoring elastically scaling cloud environments which include the dynamic addition of auto-deployed cloud hosts to dashboards and alerts has fulfilled this market need.

“Our momentum in the third quarter of 2013 hit new highs as our server monitoring reach grew significantly.” - Olivier Pomel, CEO and Co-Founder, Datadog

In addition to record growth in revenue and monitored servers, other highlights of the quarter included:

– Significant Increase in User Count, with thousands of users drawn from several hundred paying customers by the end of Q3 – New Boston Office, to complement Datadog’s New York City headquarters and serve our rapidly growing customer base. – New Product Features, providing Datadog customers with enhanced alerting and dashboarding capabilities as well as new or enhanced integrations with tools and services such as HP Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Hadoop HDFS and Atlassian HipChat. – Record Data Collection Volumes, of more than 25 Billion records a day received, analyzed and visualized across data sources.

“We are humbled by the overwhelmingly positive response from our customers who have helped us grow rapidly over the last 18 months primarily through word of mouth. Our momentum in the third quarter of 2013 hit new highs as our server monitoring reach grew significantly,” said Olivier Pomel, CEO and Co-Founder, Datadog. “We are now engaging with a growing number of global 2000 organizations who maintain large cloud deployments which grow quickly and unpredictably. Our focus on monitoring large-scale cloud environments and analysis of big data sets uniquely positions us to solve the challenges that these firms face with such dynamic infrastructures.”
