About This Session

Datadog App and API Protection allows you to manage application security risks with continuous, real-time monitoring of vulnerabilities and threats against your applications and APIs in production. Automatically integrated with APM distributed traces and code-level context, App and API Protection eliminates the bottlenecks of triage and investigation of security issues.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe how to configure App and API Protection (AAP) and how it extends the capabilities of Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
  • Understand how to use ASM to act on vulnerabilities and threats detected by Datadog, and where to find suggested remediation steps for each signal.
  • Build navigation skills around investigating signals and attacks, locate default detection rules in-app, and configure alerts related to Security Signals.
