Matt Williams is a Technical Evangelist on Datadog’s community team. He is passionate about the power of monitoring and metrics to make large-scale systems stable and manageable. Kirk Kaiser is a Developer Evangelist at Datadog, where he focuses on helping developers build more reliable, performant code with APM. Previously, he was the lead backend developer at Triller, scaling the app from zero to millions of users, and handling the traffic from being in the top 100 of iOS and Android stores at the same time. Kirk is also the author of a book teaching Python programming through art instead of print statements, called Make Art with Python.

Meghan is a product manager focused on Datadog's alerting and reporting platform. When she's not working with customers or calculating uptime, she's walking her dog around Brooklyn and tending to a surprisingly thriving garden.

Pierre is a technical writer with the Datadog Community team. He began his career as a technical evangelist at Logmatic.io. Through documentation and outreach, he strives to ensure the highest level of communication and understanding between products and people.

Having studied Physics and Computer Science Frank was educated to be empirical and data-driven.

As a software developer in the financial industry he explored how test automation metrics and statical code analysis can help improve software quality.

At ImmobilienScout24 being an AgileCoach he was measuring, visualizing and improving a team's flow and as Head of Technology in the same company went on aligning tech and product creating and managing well defined business plans.

Since 2017 Frank is CTO of Europes Cloud POS leader 'orderbird'. He started right away to collect, analyse and visualize operational metrics. This helped him and his team at orderbird to educate themselves about the inner mechanics of their grown legacy backend system and push their operational excellence to 99.99%+ 2018 backend availability. As member of orderbird's executive management team Frank steered the company towards better understanding of data in generel and data-driven goal processes like OKRs in particular.

Pavel is a Quality Engineering Lead at New10 (ABN AMRO), with 12 years of experience in different fields from small mobile apps startup to enterprises like Booking.com. He's passionate about Dev/Test/Sec-OPS. In his free time he likes to: climb walls, drinks beer, and talk about open-source (sometimes while climbing walls or drinking beer).

Kirill is the Lead Cloud Engineer ar New10 (ABN AMRO). He's a DevOps advocate and Serverless enthusiast with a background in architecture and Linux SysOps. A true believer in the CloudNative approach, he's also and conference junkie. 'I want to visit every single country in the World before I die.'

From a start of programming in BASIC on an Atari 800, Edd's career has taken him from London to Berlin via Barcelona - from running a Windows NT 4 domain on Samba, through running physical servers hosting e-commerce sites and tentative first steps with server configuration management using Puppet, to managing Kubernetes clusters using Terraform, leading teams managing food delivery platforms serving hundreds of thousands of customers a day, and becoming an evangelist for automation and simplifying processes where possible along the way.

Christos Skevis started his career as a Web and Mobile developer in 2009, when those terms meant Java and JSP. In 2012 he pivoted to Systems Administration, after discovering that setting up a server was more enjoyable than writing software for them. Since then he has followed the trends of the era, from physical servers, containerization, container orchestration, cloud providers, and now kubernetes. Even though technologies always progress, there is a part that remains the same, which is planning for scalability, monitoring, and logging needs. We will be presenting how Delivery Hero is tackling this subject with the use of load testing tools and Datadog.

Stano is Kiwi.com’s VP of Platform Engineering. He manages a team that works as an interface between Kiwi.com’s business logic applications and the 3rd party providers of hardware and tools, as well as open-source libraries.

He joined the team as a backend developer in 2015. Since then, Stano has worked on many key projects. To make the best use of his experience and lessons learnt, he established Kiwi.com’s platform team.

When he’s not making sure the engineers have all the tools they need to do their jobs well, Stano enjoys whiskey tasting, business, and solving real-world technological problems.

Yury is a Sr SRE, working at Google since 2016. Today he keeps the internal and Cloud Platform alerting systems reliable. His previous job at Google was to maintain the Developer Infrastructure.

Stephen Pinkerton is a Product Manager at Datadog. He works on building easy-to-use monitoring tools to empower serverless development teams. Outside of work, catch him traveling or backseat-baking to the Great British Baking Show.

Omri Sass is a product manager at Datadog, where he focuses on making APM the best distributed tracing solution out there intent on helping any dev team build reliable, performant systems. Previously, he was a product manager for Wirecutter, a New York Times company, improving the site's conversion rate, deals coverage capabilities and 3rd party integrations.

Michael Gerstenhaber is a product director at Datadog, building products for Process and Container monitoring, and working with our IoT partners to design solutions for monitoring smart devices. Michael was previously an engineer at Cisco Systems where he contributed to a series of network and data center management tools, and later made a stopover in the video game industry, serving as director of product at Happy Cloud.
