[US1-FED] Human Name PII Detection in Logs using Machine Learning

About This Program

This capability is generally available across US1, US3, US5, AP1, and AP2 Datadog Sites. Users can search for and add Human Name Scanner to a scanning group within their Sensitive Data Scanner Settings page. EU1 support will be generally available starting on Monday, February 2.

However, this feature remains in preview for US1-FED Datadog organizations. By enrolling, users can detect and optionally obfuscate human names within application logs ingested into the Datadog platform using Sensitive Data Scanner.

This is achieved using a machine learning classifier that is hosted within the Datadog Platform. The classifier is pre-trained and does not learn while it’s running and scanning data in production.

To qualify for this Product Preview, you must currently be using Datadog Log Management and have Sensitive Data Scanner enabled.
