Datadog Distribution of OpenTelemetry Collector (DDOT Collector) for Linux-based hosts or VMs

About This Program

Datadog Distribution of the OpenTelemetry Collector (DDOT Collector) is an enterprise-ready, OpenTelemetry(OTel)-native Collector distribution built into the Datadog Agent, fully supported by Datadog. It enables you to use the vendor-neutral OTel telemetry pipeline while taking full advantage of Datadog’s advanced monitoring and security features. It is already generally available for Kubernetes environments on Linux, offering users a standardized and supported path to adopt OpenTelemetry within containerized workloads.

We’re now rolling out support for OpenTelemetry (OTel) users to deploy the DDOT Collector on Linux-based bare-metal hosts and virtual machines. If you have Kubernetes containerized environments, check our documentation to get started with the GA version of the DDOT Collector.
