AI Recommendations extends APM Recommendations by analyzing runtime behavior to surface additional performance and reliability optimization opportunities across backend services. Building on existing deterministic recommendations derived from Datadog telemetry, AI Recommendations detects complex execution patterns that service impact application performance and stability.
AI Recommendations can identify issues such as tail latency, missing cache opportunities, excessive serialization, unbounded payloads, resource contention, connection pool exhaustion, and error misclassification.
With Source Code Integration enabled, recommendations are validated against relevant source code and paired with targeted remediation guidance to help accelerate troubleshooting and optimization workflows. Source Code Integration is not required for detection.
To qualify for this Product Preview, you must already be an APM customer.
