Adaptive Polling helps you save AWS CloudWatch costs by reducing the polling frequency of metrics that haven’t been queried (used in monitors, dashboards, notebooks, or metric queries) for at least 30 days. Polling of unqueried metrics is automatically throttled to one-hour intervals.
To qualify for this Preview, you should already be using Datadog’s AWS Integrations and have metric collection enabled for 1+ namespace (which isn’t using AWS Metric Streams to send these metrics). You should also be willing to share feedback as you try out the new experience.
