Agent-Side Filtering for Custom Metrics lets you centrally define within Datadog which custom metrics should be dropped on the Agent, before ingestion. This reduces custom metric volume and costs while maintaining full visibility and control through Datadog.
To qualify for this Product Preview, you should have upgraded to Datadog Agent v7.67.0 or higher (v7.70.0 or higher is recommended). You should also have Remote Configuration enabled with org_management permissions, as well as Remote Configuration enabled for API keys.
