NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Datadog, the essential monitoring service for modern cloud environments, today announced Notebooks, a new interactive environment that helps DevOps teams explore application performance data, create reproducible postmortems, build runbooks, and document infrastructure. This will allow teams to investigate problems together, pinpoint the issues, and detail resolutions for future reference all in one place.

“Troubleshooting application issues and documenting postmortems has been a challenge for all of our customers” said Amit Agarwal, Chief Product Officer at Datadog. “With Notebooks dev and ops teams can easily explore metrics, detail and share their findings in a collaborative way, then distribute the information all within the Datadog platform.”

Notebooks will replace the need for multiple points of reference such as notes, wikis, documents, screenshots and emails with a centralized location to build a complete narrative around incidents. Users can add live graphs and markdown cells to their postmortems in order to explain what occurred, why it happened, and what was done to remedy the situation for future reference.

Datadog was recently ranked the 9th fastest growing company in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list, which recognized 500 of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and energy technology companies in North America. The company was also listed in Wealthfront’s List of Career-Launching Companies, Crain’s New York’s Best Places to Work, and Forbes Cloud100 acknowledging the leading private companies in the cloud sector alongside Slack, Dropbox, Stripe, SquareSpace, and MailChimp.

Additional Resources

Notebooks is available for all Datadog customers by clicking on the “Notebooks” button in the sidebar of the application. New users can sign up for a free 14 day trial and introduce data-driven storytelling to their infrastructure today.
